Madison has a little girl crush on the Biebs....I'll admit I have one too. You can judge, I understand. So Madison and I are in total agreement that Bieber is great driving music. We had to on the other day and I was listening to her sing the words to the song U Smile. The chorus came and she sang it a little like this, "You smell, I smell." I just love her and her innocence. For those who don't know the correct words are, "You smile, I smile".

Little conversation with Madison tonight at Costco.

Madison: "Mom can I have this for Christmas...Mom can I have that for Christmas."

This went on with EVERYTHING that she saw for almost 10 minutes and it didn't matter what it was....she asked for a space heater, batteries, you name it. Finally I told her that she wasn't allowed to ask for anything else for Christmas the rest of the night.

So 5 minutes later....

Madison: " Mom can I have this for Halloween"

Like you would forget. He is the cutest baby boy ever. Trying to catch up on blogging made me realize how HORRIBLE I have been at taking pictures of him the last 2 months. Failure. Jealous of Jimmi's sweet outfit? This is Paulie Bleeker, we were Juno and Bleeker for a Halloween party. I made those shorts, dyed the sweatbands, and handpainted the shirt and socks. I think he was awesome, mostly because the wig topped it off.

Viking Man Duathlon

Once upon a time there was a girl names Kaley and she was crazy. Her sisters had mentioned a duathlon coming up and thought she should do it. She signed up....like I said crazy. The End.

My sister and their husbands were doing the Triathlon/half-Ironman and my friends Nichelle, Vanessa and I did the Olympic Duathlon. Everyone made it!

Here's the breakdown of the race...5k run, 29 mile bike, 10k run.

The first 5k wasn't clearly marked so we ended up running an extra mile. On the bike portion Nichelle got a flat tire....in the first 5 mins. I got a migraine at about mile 15 and rode the rest of the way with one eye open. The last 10k we ran an extra mile again. Only in Burley Idaho can you run on the airport runway.

I was so happy when it was all over.

Madison got out and surfed with Jimmi, her only concern was getting her hair wet. What a girlie girl. The surf was successful and her hair was dry. It also was the one day I didn't put her swimsuit on so she was rockin the princess panties. This was the first of many shred sessions to come. I thought I would put her in the "Wake Shredder" hat. In the words of Stanely Wheelhouse... "Madison was shreddin her face off...in case your were wonderin. She was shreddin the wave like a ginsu knife."

Jack Danger First Haircut

We gave our little man his first hair cut last week. He a wicked mullet starting to form. I heard that if you cut it all off it will all grow back in thicker faster and even soooo.....that is what we did. It is ridiculous using clipper on a baby since they have so much extra skin. It has been a week and it is growing back fast. Madison and Jack both have fast growing hair just like their daddy...I'm jealous.

Last week Jimmi rafted the Salmon river for 4 days. I thought it would be fun to have Madison's cousin Jaidyn over for a sleepover. We had a great time. They played with chalk, had bathtime, watched some movies, pitched a tent in my front room and slept in it, made cookies, stayed up late and I gave them mani pedis. All in all it was a great night. Naps were definitely needed the next day but we had fun.

This quilt was ridiculous. Its ridiculously cute. Ridiculously easy to put together. Ridiculously hard to bind! I have NEVER binded a quilt before and had NO idea what I was doing so by the time I was done I was ready to cut it up and throw it away, I was soooo frustrated! 3 hours on the binding. like I said RIDICULOUS! I love it though.

A few months back Madison really starting showing interest in helping fold laundry. I was not opposed to this. Her folding obviously isn't professional by any means but she is getting better. The other day I gave her some rags to fold and they were folded so good I had to get a picture.

Jack Danger Sparling

It has been 8 weeks since this little dude arrived, you can judge away for the delay. I don't mind :) He is so perfect. We are so blessed to have this sweet little boy in our family.

On Monday March 22nd I spent the night in the hospital. On the Friday before my Doctor Bryan Hodges had scheduled an amniocentesis for the following Friday the 26th. Since I was in the hospital already he told me that he would see if a doctor from fetal medicine could do an amnio. So that afternoon the nurse comes in and said that she was taking me for my amnio. I was so excited because if the lungs were mature and everything look good then Bryan would induce me (since we were hoping that delivery would solve all the pain). I was so tired of being in pain and putting Jack through all the pain medicine. The results came back that afternoon and the lungs were under developed, but the doctor said that he would send it off for the 3 day test. I was so upset to say the least but what could I do.

On Thursday I was back in Labor & Delivery, Doc Hodges came in and I was telling him how I was frustrated that I was back in the hospital and how I was miserable. He just smiled and said...."be here at 7 tomorrow, babies lungs are developed." I was so00 excited, I started to cry and thank him and then I started to freakout a little! Jack would be here the next day!

The next morning we headed to the hospital, we got there at 7:45. We got settled into our room and the IV put in.

- At 8:45 Hodges came in and he broke my water, I was dilated to a 2.

- 9:00 they started the pitocin.

-10:00: I had back labor and decided I didn't need to do pain anymore so I got my epidural. Contractions were 2-4 minutes apart. I was craving Mongolian BBQ and goldfish. I was sooo hungry!

-10:30: I was dilated 3cm. Jimmi thought it was funny that I was just texting while I was having contractions. Contractions were a minute apart.

-1:15: They had to give me another bulus in my epidural since only my left leg was numb. I was still only at a 3, I was getting frustrated that I wasn't progressing. I was getting tired of waiting, and I really wanted to eat!

-2:10: I asked the nurse to check me again...I was at a 7!! My legs were 150% numb, I couldn't move them at all it was so entertaining trying to move them.

-2:20: I was feeling pressure and I told the nurse. She said that she would check me in an hour. I told her how fast I progressed at the end with Madison so she decided to check me. I was at a 10!! Complete! It was time...Jack would be there soon!

-2:25: They were paging Bryan Hodges (he told me earlier he was taking his kids to a movie so there was a chance he would miss it) they couldn't get him so they called Doctor Davis to come deliver me. I was devastated! We had been through so much this pregnancy with Bryan and I wanted him to deliver Jack.

-2:30: Doctor Davis came in and we talked with him for a minute and although I was still upset he was really great and I was ready to push!

-2:35: 1 Push and he was here! Doctor Davis let me help deliver him and as I pulled him on my chest and looked at him, I fell in love. He was perfect. It is the most amazing experience having a baby. I am so lucky for being able to experience it twice. Doctor Davis was amazing, I am glad that he was the doctor that filled in for Bryan

He was born the the TV show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" everything happened so fast we forgot to turn the TV off. In the video all you can hear is the TV. So funny and trashy all in one...Jealous...you should be.

Since Jack was 4 weeks early the NICU took him after I put him on my chest. They had him for almost a half hour before I got to hold him again. He was well developed for being only 36 weeks. He had a good strong cry. His body temperature was low and so was his blood sugar. So they were checking his blood sugar every hour for the first 48 hours and same with his temp, but everything went up and he was fine.

He was such a good baby from the start. He was a great nurser and he hardly cried. He had really long finger and his pinkies are crooked just like his Grandma Sparling. He is so perfect and we love him so much!

I was so excited for Madison to come and meet Jack. When she saw him you could see the instant love in her eyes. It was so sweet to see her look at him and kiss him.

The rockin pregnancy problems

One week after I found out I was pregnant morning sickness started. After 2 weeks I was so sick (throwing up 20+ time a day) that I had to go in and get fluids at the hospital. Over a weeks time I spent 5 of the 7 days getting fluids. Doctor Hodges decided to do at home fluids/nausea medicine. They poked me so many time to get the IV in but I was so dehydrated that I had to go to the ER to get my IV set. I had that for 2 weeks but I kept blowing through veins so they decided to set PICCline. The Piccline goes in your upper arm and the tube is really long and drops right at the top of the heart. I had to wear a backpack for 8 hours a day with a pump that push fluids in and nausea medicine. I had my backpack for 14 weeks. I developed a REALLY bad rash from the adhesive from the bandage. They had to pull the first picc and replace it in my left arm. I thought that the rash wouldn't happen again but after 2 days the rash was back. It itched sooo bad, it would wake me up at night...it was making me crazy. I finally decided to deal with the nausea and have it pulled since the rash was so bad and it was spreading all over my body. The pictures don't even begin to show what the rash looked like.

I was soooo happy when the picc was gone! You can see on my left are how messed up it was.
When I was pregnant with Madison I had kidney stones starting at 12 weeks. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and then later in my pregnancy had them again and ended up getting surgery and have stents placed. I thought I was in the clear this pregnancy but then February 12th was the start of my hospital stays. I thought I was in labor...I was have really bad contractions that morning and my back hurt really bad to I thought that I was having back labor. But in the back of my head I thought that maybe it could be kidney stones. We went to the hospital and they got the pain under control and they checked me and I wasn't dilating and they were able to stop the contractions. They did an ultrasound and didnt see any kidney stones. I ended up going home. the next day I went into the hospital again with MAJOR back pain and contractions. They gave me 100 mg of demural and it didn't touch my pain for the gave me diluated. The took the edge off for only 30 mins and the pain was back full force. They ended up admitting me to the antepartum unit and put me on a continuous drip of pain medicine with more medicine every hour through the IV. It would only take the edge off it was that bad. The next morning the pain was gone so they discharged me. I was waiting for transport and went to the bathroom and passed the biggest kidney stone! The nurse didn't believe it. It was HUGE!!
3 Days after that overnight stay I went back into the hospital and was in for 3 1/2 weeks straight having to get pain medicine every 3 hours when I would have my "attacks". It was so hard not being home and not being able to have Jimmi and Madison around. I finally got out but was in and out of the hospital everyday until Jack was born. With the kidneys with Madison as soon as I delivered all my problems were gone. So we thought that if we were to deliver then that would solve the problem. I had Jack on March 26th and the pain was still there. I was in and out of the ER and they ended up doing a HIDA scan on my Galbladder and it showed it was only functioning at 10 % so they decided to remove it. I was in out of the ER a few more times after it was removed but now the pain is completely gone!

The Afters

I wish that I had before pictures of these 2 areas. For anyone has been to my house you know these are JUNK zones. I am so proud of myself. I might even treat myself to Ice cream right after this post just because I can. The first picture is from under my stairs. The closet also wraps around behind the wall on the right. The entire closet was filled with boxes and TONS of sewing stuff and junk. Don't mind the stuff on the left. That is Jimmi's wiring that I don't mess with, so it will stay like that.

Usually there is a pile of junk...mail, magazines, nail polish, candy etc. on the counter. The drawers were packed full...so full you had to work to get them opened and shut. It's disgusting to think I let it get to that point. I still need to get a mail slot for the cupboard and some trays for the drawers but other than that. B-E-A-utiful.

BTW. Today is post 11, yes I know that I missed some days of my goal of 17 but if you look at last year I only posted 13 times the ENTIRE year. I am about to beat that. Please add another scoop of ice cream to my bowl, and pat me on the back :)

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND!!!

A few amazing things happened today....

1. I found out DAVE MATTHEWS BAND is coming to Boise on August 31! I love how Boise took over SLC concert slot. Yes I know that every year Aug 31 he is in SLC and then to the Gorge. Yes the Gorge would be AMAZING this year since Ben Harper is opening. But still I am so excited and when I talk to Jimmi next I am telling him that I want the best ticket....even if I have to go by myself to afford it!! Not that he would mind because he can't stand my dear friend Dave!

2. HOBBY LOBBY is open!! When I heard that they were opening a store in Boise I e-mailed them to find out when they were opening and they told me around Feb 14th ....Well today I am driving home from Anna's and I got the text.....HOBBY LOBBY IS OPEN! I'm a freak and I have been waiting for FOREVER for one to open up here!!! I am going tomorrow.

3. JIMMI COMES HOME IN 4 DAYS!!!! I miss him so much and I can't wait to have him home!

Here are 2 conversations I had with Madi this afternoon:

Madi: Mommy I want a Pop-ta-tart (can't get it right)

Me: We don't have any sweetie

Madi: Give me a pop-ta-tart...by order of the princess.

I started laughing soooo hard! That right there tells me that we watch to much Aladdin.

We were driving out to Anna's and this happened:

Madi: mommy i'm black

Me: What do you mean?

Madi: I'm black

Me: Well what am I?

Madi: You're white and I'm black.

So this afternoon Madi and I were coloring on my bed and there was a super loud crack/crash that came from my closet. It was so loud that I screamed and Madi started crying. I went in the closet to find the the clothes rail on the left side of the closet had completely fallen. So i walked back there and it hadn't just fallen the whole brace and support board had snapped! The sheetrock and everything! I will have to post a pic tomorrow. I have no idea how it happened because when i was organizing yesterday I didn't add anything to the bar, so there was no extra weight. At least it didn't happen when I was sleeping!

Best New ever! Tonight I was talking to Jimmi and I brought up how he was coming home Tuesday. He corrected me and told me that he was coming home on MONDAY! Best day ever! I was soo excited! One less day that he is gone!

The nastiest thing EVER...

Warning: This is a super nasty story.
So poor little Madi woke up this morning with a fever. So I brought her into bed with me and like 15 mins. after I brought her in she threw up on the bed. SO GROSS! So at like 3 in the morning I am up changing bedding, starting laundry, and cleaning up my babe. So finally we both are asleep. She slept in and when she woke up she was still running a fever. So I gave her some more medicine and then she had a nasty diarhhea diaper. SO GROSS again! She didn't want to eat anything so she vegged on the bed and watched a movie. Around 1:30 I decided to shower and bring her in with me. She was sitting on the ground in the shower and all of the sudden she started freaking out. She was just whining and wouldn't tell me what was wrong, all she said was she wanted up. So I picked her up and....DIARHHEA! All over me! All over the shower! I wanted to die. So here I am pregnant, with a sick baby, covered in poo in the shower. So I am trying to clean everything up and I start throwing up! I tell you what a crappy crappy day! Literally! I hope that Madi starts to feel better soon. I hate having to see my sweet princess like that. She is never sick so this a new experience for me.

So while Madi was laying around and napping. I got alot done. I have to take it easy so don't worry this wasn't that much strain, thatnks to an exercise ball to sit on. So our closet, bathroom drawers, dressers, and nightsides have been a MAJOR mess. Everything just piles up and it sucks cleaning them. So here are some pictures of my clean closet. Unfortunantely the pictures make it still look dirty but you have no idea. It looks so much better in person. The biggest thing were the shelves in the back. They were packed with crap and now they are clutter free and beautiful!! who knew that I could be so excited about a clean closet. All the bathroom drawers are cleaned out and organized too. The top of our dresser has a baby moniter and a glass vase on it and that is it!! (I am going to decorate with something)

The ginormous pile of clothes and shoes that is on the floor is all D.I. almost my entire dresser is empty because that is were I store the...."Maybe ill need the shirt someday" clothes and the shelves in the back I was telling you about, well those were full of those clothes too. How liberating! :) Looking at the pile now doesn't do it justice. I would say its going to be 2 maybe 3 black trash bags.

So I got to talk to Jimmi again today. He is currently on the first of two 7 hour bus rides from Florianopolis Brazil to Uruguay. I am so not jealous of him at all. I can barely sleep in a car, I couldn't imagine a bus. Anyways he is having so much fun. Sunburnt and lacking in the sleep department . I am so excited for him to come back and see all the pictures and be able to have my other half home :). Cheesy I know. but it is so true what they say...absence makes the heart grow fonder. I guess its that and a new look on everything else. I am so excited for him to come home. And poor Madi misses him so much. Everyday when she comes in my room in the morning she goes to Jimmi's side of the bed and asks if he is home yet. We are going all out when we pick him up.

I am ordering all new furniture tomorrow for our bedroom and hopefully by the time it all gets here everything will be made and ready to decorate. Here is a decoration for our radical new dresser.

It's been a really long time since I have been really excited about fabrics at Joanns, but I almost went crazy with all the new lines they are carrying right now. I had to keep reminding myself that I am trying to not buy more fabric until I use what I have! Yes, I have a mini fabric store in my closet. But some things are to fabulous to pass up....like this little number.

Finally home!! Sometime the drive to and from SLC goes super quick and sometimes it take FOREVER!! Tonight it seemed like we were never going to get home. Between the thick fog, heavy rain, and crazy wind we made it home. The best part about traveling when you pregnant are the massive swollen legs from sitting so long. The day after Thanksgiving Costco gives out a killer cookbook. Not only are they easy recipes that taste good...there are pictures for EVERY recipe. Seriously how genius is that. Tonight we cooked something from the fabulous book...all three of us girls over the stove. It was a tight squeeze since we were all working in 1 pan but it was fun.

Aunt Ashley thought she would redeem herself and sit and watch the Lion King with Madison. This is how they watched it. Tender.

Please don't mind the chunkiness but I had to snap a picture with the babe and I. I couldn't get her to look. Story of my life.

It may be 11:21 but it's still day two. suckas! Today was a nice relaxing day. Its really nice being with my family because my sisters and my mom help take care of Madison pretty all day. Don't get me wrong they sometimes overwhelm her and sometimes are mean (Ashley) so she is still a mommas girl and she only wants me. I am not complaining though because I love her sweet face!

Joanns. Oh Joanns. All of us girls went today. This is by far my favorite store (what a grandma am I) but I do have to say that the Joanns here is pathetic. It's so tiny and is a hole in the wall compared to the ginormous store in Boise. Anyways. I bought fabric today for some of my projects that I have planned over the next few weeks. By the end of the week I better of this fabric made into something. But here it is in all it's loveliness.

My sister Lindsey gets the "Family Fun" magazine and this last month they had fun ideas for Valentines Day. We decided that we would make these fun Valentines. They will probably sit on my counter until Madison eats all the suckers but they were fun to make.

Ashley this afternoon was picking on Madison...as she doesn't pretty much all the time, and Madison wanted down. I told her that she had to stinker on Aunt Ashley and then she wouldn't want to hold you anymore. So my daughter being the little lady like she is squeezed out a stinker. Wow real classy right. Ashley told her that if she could do it again she would give her five dollars. Now I wish that I could say that my daughter had enough skills to do so but she didn't. She tried a few times, got off Ashley's lap and said, "Give me my 5 dollars"

Obviously one of the highlights from today was talking to Jimmi. Yes I wanted to post it first but how much of an pathetic wife would I sound like. It was great to know that he is there safe even though he said he is staying at a super ghetto apartment. Apparently in Argentina the men sport a mean fo (spelling?...faux?) hawk and mullet. Yes I can't wait to get a visual what this looks like...it can't be good. Those pictures will be posted for sure.

Last but not least the food. I am pretty sure that my family doesn't function unless we eat massive amounts of junk food all day long. I can't even begin to tell how much food we ate today because it is making me sick just thinking about it. There was a disaster tonight though with the apple cobler that Lindsey and Melissa attempted. They somehow forgot half the ingrediants in the topping. Serious how do you do that? Melissa thankfully took a picture of the pathetic mess. They did redeem themselves and do it over. Ok so the picture wont upload but know this...it wasn't pretty.

So with Jimmi taking his big trip to South America I decided I needed to keep myself really busy to make the time pass quick. So I made a list a million miles long of projects to do around the house and I will blog everyday for the next 17 days. What an exciting next 17 days right? My disclaimer upfront is this: I am blogging everyday but it doesn't mean it will be exciting! I am hoping to be able to post lots of pictures or all the awesome projects i have planned but we will see.

He left yesterday morning and since then this is the break down of what we have done:

1. Madi and I came home from the airport and snuggled and watched Aladdin

2. Spend 2 1/2 very long hours at the doctors office. I found out that I have a hernia. When my doctor told me I had to laugh. My favorite episode from FRIENDS involves Joey getting a hernia.

3. Madi and I took a great nap.

4. Had a Cents of Style party. Which turn out pretty pathetic but I got some good things.

5. Anna had a sleepover.

So there it is. So exciting right?

We are headed to Utah this afternoon and tomorrow with hopefully involve something more clever and awesome.

The other day the baby boy was moving like crazy! My belly was dancing all over. Madison and I watched it for almost 15 mins. At first Madison was a little confused and not sure about it then she was putting her hand on my belly and was feeling baby move and she was loving it.....then it turned to this conversation with Madison to the baby.

Then she turns to me and says....

We were driving home from a birthday dinner tonight and Madison is playing in her hair and says...." I'm just exercising my hair"

At dinner Madison went up to Jimmi and said...." daddy i have to tell you something... I don't want to go home tonight" then she turn to me and says " bye bye mom...go home"

The other day I was pouring cereal for her and she said "thanks...that's just the right amount"

She is a goof and keeps it interesting. LOVE HER!

She is so funny with my belly too, she reads books and sings to the baby. I can't wait for when she can feel baby kick.

Halloween 2009

My mom is the best Grandma...knowing that I was not feeling well from morning sickness. She came over and brought some activities for Madison to do and to give me a break. She brought over cookie dough to roll out cookies and decorate, and a pumpkin to decorate. Madison loved both.

Madison ate more straight flour then cookie dough. She enjoyed herself at least.

Madison loved painting the pumpkin. Instead of painting everywhere and not care if the colors touched each other, she was very particular about where ever paint stroke went.

She ended up painting for almost an hour. Love her!

Halloween Butterfly

I gave Madison the option of being a bee, butterfly, or ladybug for Halloween. Everytime I asked her she would say butterfly and she made sure the everyone knew that she was going to be a butterfly. I decided I would make the costume for her. Please keep in mind that I wasn't feeling good so I had a great idea for a costume but I started on her costume about 4 P.M on Halloween so this is what it had to be for this year. Next year will be better! She was so stinkin cute though and she loved trick or treating! We went with Grandma Sparling Uncle Kenny and Jaidyn and the girls scored so much candy!

My bestfriend Anna called and told me that she didn't care what I said that she was coming over for the afternoon. After trying to tell her that I was ok, I lost. I was glad though because it was a fun afternoon and there were some delicious cookies! She is the best!

New Backyard

We had the worst grass in our backyard! We had weeds galore that we couldn't get to go away and half of it was dead. Jimmi's cousin got us a great deal on sod so we decided to rip up the yard and replace it. Jimmi thought this was going to be an afternoon project....He literally thought 5 hours max. Boy was he wrong!! It took about a week from start to finish but we had a lot of postponement because of rain.

Jimmi rented a sod cutter (which was sooo funny to watch him operate...worst arm jiggle I have ever seen) then he had to roll up the sod. Look closely at the gloves....they are shower gloves. Don't judge.

So here are a couple cute stories....

Tonight Jimmi and I were driving through a neighborhood looking at houses and Jimmi saw a house he really liked and this is what happened.

So we came home and we were getting her ready for bed and she grabbed my phone and this is what happened...

We were at dinner at my mom's house tonight and we were all talking and I heard Madi fart so I said, "Eww Madi farted" and she laughs and then she gets a really serious face on and pushed out another fart! I know i shouldn't have but I was laughing so hard! She is definitely a Sparling.

Ya that's right...I said 5k! For anyone that know me really wells know that I don't run. Absolutely do not do it. We were in Utah for Thanksgiving with my family and Thanksgiving morning we did a 5k and I ran the entire way (minus like 30 secs but who's keeping track) but still it was awesome I was slow and it took me 32 mins but I still did it! My sister Ashley's boyfriend was pretty serious about the race he ran it in 17 mins for 4th place. Then there was Jimmi Ashley Lindsey and Jace that all finished around 27 mins. AND last but not least...Mom and Madison!! My mom walked with Madison and she wasn't even last place because another lady that was walking with her quit. So yeah my family is awesome!!

Jim and Cindy got back from a cruise a couple weeks ago and they had gotten Madison a purse. I was getting ready for church and she comes in with her purse, it was filled with her toys too. She carried it around all morning and had to bring it to church. I tried to take it off her arm to put her in her carseat and she freaked out! it was pretty funny.

Happy Birthday Jimmi!!! I just wanted everyone to know how thankful I am for my wonderful husband!

We had a week long celebration for Jimmi's birthday AKA Jimmi Fest. Everyday there was a suprise and then it ended with the trip to VEGAS!

So as of Friday we are officially HOMEOWNERS!!! It's such a long emotional process but it is finally over and we couldn't be happier. I guess it does pay to know the president of a bank :) if it weren't for my dad we wouldn't have moved this weekend! thanks dad you're the best! Thank you to all of our friends and family that helped up pack and move we appreciate it more than you! We are pretty much completely moved in and we are doing our epoxy floor tonight. This summer Jim and Cindy (in laws) got a new boat....one sexy boat (is that appropriate haha). Anyways it is made especcially for surfing and oh my I am in love. Santa Cruz

This past weekend we went to visit Jimmi's GREAT grandma who is 99 years old. Don't worry she still lives alone and is in better shape than people I know that are 80. Anyways she lives in San Jose and we drove down there. First of all we stopped in Reno and I was playing black jack with Jennie(sister in law) and I came out with $17.50. Yes i know it sounds stupied but how many people can walk out of a casino saying they were up money. haha i am a dork yes but I am really excited. So anyways we decided we would go spend a day on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz and we had a blast. We took Madison to the ocean for the first time and she LOVED it. We were walking off the beach and she threw the biggest fit she ever has. She grabbed my face and cut me. haha oh well. I will say she is like her aunt Ashley....hates the lake but loves the ocean. I love my little princess so much I don't know what i would do without her!!!!

Rafting on the Salmon River

Jim (father-in-law) use to be a river guide a long time ago. So we decided we would float the Salmon. It was a ton of fun, the first day was the scariest day of my life but other than that I can't wait for the next trip. The first day jimmi, levi, natalie and i were in a small raft appropriately name "Flipper". Don't worry we didn't have a clue what we were doing since jim just told us to paddle. Well we went over a rapid and i fell out and went down the rapid under the raft. Holy freakout! I kept bumping up to the raft and could get out. then natalie fell out and her leg got caught on the side raft and went down a rapid like that. THEN, the last rapid we went on for the day we flipped completely. Levi, natalie and i got pinned against the rock wall under water and into the rock tube. oh my goodness i cried like a little girl. the next 2 days were awesome though and it made it all better!! The beaches on the river are so gorgeous! white and sandy. enjoy.!!

Madison has figured out how a zip lock bag works. She opens the bag of hair ties and will dump them all out and then will put them back in. Its so stinkin cute! Its like the laundry basket. Everything goes out and then back out. Over and Over again.

I was vaccuming the other day and got side tracked with something and when I came back into the kitchen Madison was tangling herself in the vaccum cord... It started with the lower half of her body.

She is so precious!! Everyday she has a funny new thing that she is doing. I am so blessed to have her!!!
Madison plays with my headbands all the time. The best part is she puts the over her face and plays with them like that. It is so funny! Sometimes she will have both eyes covered and she will just leave it there!
Notice she is still wrapped in the vaccum cord. She tried crawling to me and she got stuck cause the vaccum. Don't worry she kept trying and got the vaccum unhooked from the corner of the cabinets and was pulling it around! I was laughing so hard!!

So Grandma Sparling has these 2 toy boxes. Usually one is filled with toys and they dump all the toys out and play in one. For some reason they werent getting along and could use just one. so I opened the other box so they could have their own. They played in the boxes for over an hour!! So we decided to go with Levi and Natalie to the horse races a couple Saturdays ago. It was the Kentucky derby that day so there were crazy amounts of people there, and it was sooo much fun! Madison was going crazy for the horses! She is so cute. Don't worry Jimmi and I bet on every race...and didn't win a penny. Probably because I always wanted to bet on the last ranked horse, I just want to vote for the underdog....is that a problem.

I love her hat!! We would just have to distract her with something else and put it on. Surprisingly it stayed on the whole time.

Madison's 1st Birthday!

Our sweet little princess turned 1on April 20th. I can't believe that it has been that long! The past year has gone by so fast. I am so thankful for her we are so lucky to have her. I love being able to watch learn new things everyday! Gosh I just love her so much! She loved her cake so much! We ended up taking it away because we were afraid of a long night due to a belly ache. Luckily we slept all night!
She had to have both hands full of cake and when she ate the cake out of both hands....she would lick off the frosting! She is the cutest baby in the world!

She wasn't to interested in the "opening" of the presents. She liked playing with the paper and her toys that cousin Jaidyn found first.
